Where Good Future actually stands.

We publish our status openly, including the parts that are unfinished. This page is the source of truth for what Good Future is and is not.

Legal status

  • Good Future is an initiative in formation. It is not yet a registered Austrian association (Verein).
  • We have no ZVR number. We will publish it here once the register entry exists, and never show a placeholder.
  • Austrian law separates Errichtung (founders agree statutes and file) from Entstehung (the association becomes a legal person). The authority normally has four weeks from receipt, extendable to six.
  • At least two founders are required and the statutes must be in German.

What exists today

  • This website, as the canonical public archive.
  • A Founding Membership and a founding community.
  • A draft Community Charter, published for discussion.

What does not exist yet

  • A registered association and a ZVR number.
  • Ratified statutes and an elected board.
  • The karma protocol. No scoring is running, and no scores exist.
  • The member publishing agent.

Finances

Membership contributions fund infrastructure and operating costs. We will publish a financial summary once the association exists and has a first reporting period. Until then there is nothing audited to report, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Governance

Until the founding forum ratifies a structure, decisions are made by the founding initiative. Money does not buy governance authority, and neither does reputation.
